Satriwitthaya 2 school director Patcharapong Trithepa broke his silence today by admitting that a man’s voice in the video clip which went viral in the social media was his but he denied telling the school’s marching band to beg for money from the private sector.
He claimed that the band’s approach to ask for 3.1 million baht donation from Ichitan Group chairman Tan Passakornnatee was the initiative of the students themselves.
The marching band, Max Percussion Theatre, could not afford the air fares to participate in a marching band contest in the Netherlands. So members of the band went to see Mr Tan to seek help and Mr Tan had to dig into his wife’s purse to give the band 3.1 million baht so the band could fly to the Netherlands to fulfil its dream.
Mr Patcharapong said that he was not ready now to talk to the media the full details of the case as he was in the process of collecting information and evidences, saying that the case was complicated.
He said that he would not run away and was ready to take full responsibility for any consequences.
He further said that he would meet with the Press once he finished with collecting evidences and information about the case.
