The board of Satriwitthaya 2 Alumni Association resolved unanimously that the school director should be removed for causing damages to the reputation of the school.

The board has also demanded that the director, Mr Patcharapong Trithepa, must apologise to the public, the present students and alumni of the school and to be held accountable for the 3.1 million baht handout given to the school to enable its marching band, Max Percussion Theatre, to join the marching band competition in the Netherlands by Ishitan Group chairman Tan Passakornnathee.

The alumi association’s board will notify the Education Ministry and the Office of the Basic Education Committee about its decision for the removal of Mr Patcharapong.

Meanwhile the school’s deputy director Mrs Chanika Wangkit was summoned by Mr Satja Sricharoen, director of Educational District Office, to clarify about the leak in social media of a clip of conversation of a group of people, including Mrs Chanika and another man believed to be the school’s director, discussing about whom the marching band should approach to beg for money to fund the trip to the Netherlands.

Mrs Chanika admitted that she was responsible for recording the conversation which has become the talk of the town in the social media.  She however denied she was responsible for the leak of the taped conversation in the social media.

The school director has submitted a written explanation about the competition and the band without any mention of the leaked VDO clip.  However, he was still required to meet Mr Satja for an explanation of the whole affair.
